A fire retardant coating for railway coach interiors and exteriors — panels, ceilings, partitions, doors, linings and external surfaces. It restricts heat release, smoke density, smoke toxicity and flame spread across the coated surface.
Certified to R1 HL3 and R7 HL3 of EN 45545-2:2020+A1:2023, tested at a NABL / ILAC-MRA accredited laboratory. HL3 is the highest hazard level in the standard, applied to trains running in tunnels and coaches with sleeping berths. R1 covers interior surfaces, R7 covers exterior. Clearance at HL3 covers HL1 and HL2 as well.
Specified on new coach interiors, metro and RRTS rolling stock, sleeper coaches, and refurbishment programmes. Suitable across GFRP, laminate, composite, metal and timber-based panels. Applied by brush, roller or airless spray, in shade to requirement. Test reports supplied for submission to coach builders and railway authorities.
